Claritas will support seed, early and later stage companies; it is very rare that we will participate in a Series B round.  Our investment appetite and structure will always depend on the maturity of the company.  For seed, start-up and early stage companies, Claritas prefers being among the leading institutional investors and having a seat on the company’s Board of Directors.  Our professionals have had great success with milestone investing, with initial funding ranging from $250,000 to $500,000 and subsequent funding triggered by pre-determined events.  For later stage investing, Claritas will typically take a minority position ranging from $500,000 to $2,000,000.
